Law 7 - The duration of the Match

The game shall last for two equal periods of 45 minutes unless otherwise mutually agreed.

Allowance shall be made in either period for all time lost through injury, time wasting etc - the amount to be decided by the referee.

Time will be extended to allow for the taking of a penalty kick at and after the end of the normal period in either half.

The half time interval shall not exceed 15 minutes except with the consent of the referee. Players have a right to an interval.

Did you know?

In the case of matches for players under sixteen years of age, and for matches played by women, the duration of the game can be less.
