Law 14- The Penalty Kick

At the taking of a penalty kick:

Additional time is permitted to allow for the taking of a penalty kick at the end of either half or at the end of either period of extra time.

Did you know?

A player taking penalty kick cannot play the ball back to a teammate.

If an attacker and defender enter the penalty area before the ball is kicked, the kick must be re taken.
